Why "Answers on a Postcard"?

Jo Sidebottom I wanted the experience of doing a regular blog, but unlike some of my pals I don't have a life or job filled with humorous and interesting anecdotes. The thought of coming up with entertaining stories regularly was quite daunting. "Answers on a Postcard" was born when I had the idea of asking myself a handful of questions each week, some serious and some more frivolous, and trying to keep the responses pithy and concise. Please feel free to leave any comments about my blog on my Guestbook page.

Best day this week
Friday evening was nice.  I had a busy day on Friday - two meetings in London – after a fairly busy week, so it was lovely just to relax, cook an easy meal, and watch a bit of TV.

Best decision of the week

Best work activity of the week

Best day this week
Saturday again.  We were going to a friend’s party up in Chorley in the evening, so set off mid-afternoon and arrived at our hotel early evening.  Several other people we knew were staying in the same hotel (Premier Inn South Chorley – highly recommended for a budget hotel) so we caught up with a few of them before walking the half mile or so to our friend’s house.  It was an excellent evening, and very nice to catch up with old friends and make a few more.

Best work ac...

Best day this week
Saturday (surprising how it’s usually Friday or Saturday!).   For Chris’s birthday I said I’d take him out for a meal and book us into a nice hotel over the weekend.  We stayed at Milsom’s Hotel in Kenilworth, which has a Loch Fyne restaurant attached, and enjoyed a leisurely drive over there on Saturday afternoon, a wander round the castle to see the new Elizabethan knot garden, a spectacular firework display in the evening, followed by a walk back to the hotel and ...
